POTSDAM, N-N FLYERS WIN SECTION X DIVISION TITLES

Potsdam senior Nick Miller (holding trophy on right) fired a 4-under-par 68 and won by nine strokes over the rest of the field in leading a young Sandstoners' team to an eight-stroke win in the Section X Golf Championship on Friday.  The Potsdam team, comprised of two sophomores, two freshmen and an 8th grader, carried on a tradition that now includes five titles and five 2nd-place finishes in the last ten years.  Shown (l-r) Section X Golf Chairman Rick Mace, Coach Steve Kmack, Taylor Hazen, Matt and Ryan Merriman, Nick Miller, Mike Ellis and Mike Chambers.  (Eric Foote photo)
