Ogdensburg goalie Chris Harper blocks the shot by Andrew Kellogg (4) at close range in a faceful of snow, as the puck jams up along his leg pad.  Harper was stellar in net, especially in the first period when Thousand Islands picked off six poor clearing passes, but could not connect for a goal, despite outshooting the Devils 16-8.  Harper stopped 29 shots for the win.  The Vikings finish their season at 11-10-4 overall.  Ogdensburg advances to play Salmon River in the semifinals.

N-N ICEMEN BOUNCE BACK TO TIP LARRIES 6-5 IN WILD SEMIFINAL WIN

The Norwood-Norfolk Icemen celebrate after a very wild and dramatic 6-5 victory over the St. Lawrence Central Larries at a very packed Norfolk Arena.  Norwood-Norfolk bounced back from a 4-2 deficit to net three unanswered goals in the third period.  The Larries tied the game when Charlie Dullea tied the game with 1:25 remaining when Matt Fiacco fell into the goal, knocking the puck into the net.  Fiacco redeemed himself by getting the game winner with 49.2 seconds left on a feed from Jake Ladouceur.  (Eric Foote photo)  Game Gallery

St. Lawrence Central’s Zach Baldwin, in the middle of the pile, pumps his fist after he scored the goal crashing hard to the net.

Norwood-Norfolk’s Matt Fiacco (21) has his shot turned away here by St. Lawrence Central goalie Kyle Shampine. However, Fiacco scored the gamewinner with 0:47 seconds left.  The Icemen opened the scoring at 1:35 when Alex Ploof popped in the goal from Billy Jackson and Tyler Scott.  Dylan Patterson countered for the Larries on a power play goal from Jack Keenan and Brady Helmer at 9:10.  Jackson put the icemen back in front at 9:56, but Keenan had the response for the Larries at 12:26, both goals unassisted.  the Larries framed the only goal of the second period: Tim Joanette from Patterson and Jobie McCarthy at 5:20.  Joanette put the Larries up 4-2 just 39 seconds into the third period.  After three straight by the Larries, the Icemen bounced back with three in a row as well.  Jackson and Fiacco both scored from Jake Ladouceur with an assist to Tom Plumb as well.  Ladouceur put the Icemen back in front on a midrange slapper with 2:06 left.  But the Larries-Icemen thrill ride for the season was not over yet (they played to overtime and a one-goal margin earlier in the season).  Charlie Dullea snuck the puck into the net with help from a defender who crashed into goalie Nick Belile with 1:25 to go, all before Fiacco posted the game winner with 0:49 left.  Belile made 28 saves and Larries' Kyle Shampine finished with 43.
