HEUVELTON DOWNS DEPLETED HERMON-DEKALB TEAM 6-0


Heuvelton’s Blair Davis (14) jumps and gets the head ball over the reach of Hermon-DeKalb’s Dylan Kimble (4).  Davis scored Heuvelton's fifth goal late in the first half against a depleted Hermon-DeKalb team that played the game with just 10 players, due to injuries and ineligibilities handed out earlier in the day.  Heuvelton shut out the Green Demons 6-0.

Hermon-DeKalb’s Josh Southwell (25) knocks the ball out of bounds away from Heuvelton’s Zach Limoges (16).  David Putman finished the game with two goals and an assist.  Devin Foster added a goal and an assist.  One Bulldog goal was registered as an "own goal."  John Cooper made three saves the shutout victory.
 

EARLY PANTHERS' GOALS LIFT P-H PAST C-P COLTS 2-0


Colton-Pierrepont's Gavin Dominy (12) directs a shot through the Parishville-Hopkinton fullback line, but the save is made by P-H keeper Dennis Tebo.  Tebo made five saves to collect the shutout.  Tyler Gallagher and Jordan Cary each scored first-half goals to propel the Panthers to a 2-0 win at South Colton on Monday.  With the win, the Panthers (6-2-3, 7-4-3 overall)moved within two points of first-place Chateaugay in the East Division race.  (Photo by Bob LaRue)  Game Gallery

LISBON HANGS ON TO BEAT HEUVELTON IN OVERTIME 3-2

Lisbon’s Chris Knight (5) shields the ball from Heuvelton’s David Putman (22).  Putman scored one goal, while T.J. Jacobs pounded home the other to give the Bulldogs (5-5-2, 5-6-2 overall) a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd half.  Aaron Cobb had an assist.  With the win, the Knights (10-1-1, 10-2-2 overall) passed idle Harrisville into first place by a point in the West.
 

M-W JACKETS CLOSE OUT WITH 7-1 ROMP VS. ST. REGIS FALLS


Madrid-Waddington’s B.J. Bernard (10) tucks a shot just under the diving St. Regis Falls keeper Tim Wheeler for a goal that gave the Yellow Jackets a 5-0 late in the first half.  Madrid-Waddington went on to defeat St. Regis Falls 7-1 to close out the regular season in the East Division.  Bernard and Zach Marcellus each ripped a pair of goals in the win. Rimmer (9).  Also contributing single markers were Tyler Adams, Marty LeFleur and Scott Bartenstein. The Potsdam Sandstoners squared their league record at 5-5-2 (7-6-3 overall) to end the regular season. The Wildcats fell to 0-11-1, 1-13-1 overall.
 

MASSENA CAPTURES CENTRAL CROWN IN 1-0 WIN VS. O.F.A.


Massena’s Brady Condlin jumps over Ogdensburg’s Erik Whitcombe (9) while going for the loose ball against Blue Devil Grant Prudhomme (26). Condlin tipped home the game's lone goal on a set up from Jon Paul Prashaw at 4:01 of the second overtime to break a scoreless deadlock.  The Raiders defended the rest of the way to earn a 1-0 win.  Game Gallery

POTSDAM EDGES PAST N-N FLYERS 1-0 & INTO 4TH PLACE

COLTS' DOMINY NETS GOAL & ASSIST TO BEAT SALMON RIVER


Colton-Pierrepont netminder Tory Boyce leaps through traffic, mist and rain and punches out the loose ball headed toward the Colts' goal.  Gavin Dominy provided a goal and an assist, while Mike Reilly and James Reichert each chipped in a goal to power the Colts (6-2-0, 8-4-1 overall) to a 3-1 win over East Division rival Salmon River (3-5-1, 3-9-1 overall).

POTSDAM, N-N FLYERS BATTLE TO 4-4 OVERTIME DEADLOCK

Potsdam's Shawn Lillie (3) squeezes between a pair of Salmon River defenders at midfield.  JV call-up James McDonald, in just his second varsity game, connected for two goals, while Scott Bartenstein and Marty LaFleur added a goal and an assist each to lead Potsdam.  Thakur and Tyler Adams also scored single markers.  Nick Monast registered a seven-save shutout, while Shamrock goalie Steve Durant was pummeled with 27 shots.

Jacob Layton added an insurance marker from Darrius Merrill at 22:14 of the second half, as Chateaugay stayed unbeaten atop the East Division with a 2-0 win over the Yellow Jackets.

3-3-2 overall).  The Colts fell to 4-2-0, 5-4-1 overall.  Championship: Will O'Bryan’s goal in the second overtime rocketed the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 win and the tournament crown in a 2-1 win over Heuvelton on Saturday. M-W goalie Jordan Kendall collected 14 saves and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Heuvelton took a 1-0 lead on David Putman’s goal in the 15th minute, but Brom Steinberg countered for the Jackets just eight minutes later to tie the contest 1-1 through regulation.

Consolation: Colton-Pierrepont received the gift of an own goal inadvertently deflected into the Clifton-Fine goal with just two minutes left in regulation, lifting the Colts (6-4-1 overall) to a 2-1 win over the Eagles in the consolation of the Rose Tournament. Gavin Dominy netted the Colts other goal, while Brady Hayden popped in the Eagles’ goal.
 

OGDENSBURG SEND CANTON TO FIRST CENTRAL LOSS 2-0

Norwood-Norfolk’s Adam Stone tips the ball in midair as Hammond’s Ian Mann tries to get in the way.  Stone hammered four goals as Norwood-Norfolk downed Hammond 5-2 in the opening round of the Gerald Kring Memorial Tournament at Ogdensburg Free Academy on Friday. Norwood-Norfolk’s Schuyler LaBarge hammers a shot near post to beat Hammond goalkeeper Taylor Kenyon.  LaBarge scored the other goal on the first day of the season for all of Section X.  Griff Stark-Ennis and John Woodward scored the goals for Hammond.  In the consolation, Morristown's Jeff King scored with just 2:53 left in the second half to snap a 1-1 tie and shoot the Rockets past Hammond.  King also assisted on a Nick Nugent goal.  Stark-Ennis scored the Hammond goal.

M-W JACKETS WIN JEFFERS TOURNEY TITLE VS. LISBON 1-0


Madrid-Waddington's Justin Putney (15) toes the ball away after falling against a Lisbon defender.   M-W's Tyler Jaquith set up Brom Steinberg for the game's only score as the Yellow Jackets defeated Lisbon 1-0 in the championship of the John Jeffers Tournament at Potsdam. COLTS SURPRISE POTSDAM IN CONSOLATION IN 5-0 SHUTOUT


Colton-Pierrepont's Robert Beaulieu (33) tries to fight his way inside the wall of Potsdam defense, attempting to score. Gavin Dominy and Cole Hennessy each netted two goals, while James Reichart and Jake Regan each contributed two assists as Colton-Pierrepont routed Potsdam 5-0 in the consolation of the John Jeffers Tournament at Potsdam on Saturday.

Potsdam's Ryan Merriman (17) keeps the ball to the outside away from Colton-Pierrepont's Alex Bonno (1).  The Colts improved to 2-0-1 overall, while Potsdam fell to 0-1-2.
 

HARRISVILLE SURGES BACK TO BEAT HEUVELTON 2-1
