Gouverneur's Dakota Aldridge plies the water hard in gaining a small lead over Beaver River's Joel Kloster in the boys 200-meter individual medley. Section X Meet: Malone TRIMs Gouverneur 118-41

Gouverneur's Dakota Aldridge has a slight lead on a Malone swimmer in the 100-yard backstroke.  Aldridge brought home the Wildcats' lone first-place finish in the event with a time of 1:15:38, edging Malone's Ryan Tober by 2.37 seconds.  Malone's Alex Garland was third, followed by Gouverneur's Ben Sitts and Malone's Christian Benware.

Winners in the backstroke event congratulating each other. 

Malone’s Aaron Moore led three Huskies that topped the 200 freestyle. Moore also won the 100 butterfly. Teammate Joe Tracy capture first in the 200 individual medley. Bach Schanck won the boys 100 freestyle. Patrick Gordon overtook Conor Gordon in the final lap of the long-distance 500-yard freestyle to win by 88-hundreds of a second in a time of 6:25.92. Conor Gordon captured the 400 freestyle relay. Gouverneur was led by a first-place finish for Dakota Aldridge in the 100 backstroke and second-place in the 100 butterfly. Luke Dunkleburg who had Gouverneur’s best finishes in the 200 and 500 freestyle

 


Gouverneur's BeSt Meet Comes Up Short to Beavers


Gouverneur's Dakota Aldridge splashed his way to a razor-close victory in the 100-meter butterfly.  Trailing by a half-length with just 25 yards to go, Aldridge gained ground and touched just a fraction of a second ahead of Beaver River's Zachary Irish to win the event.  the Beavers' Matt Sundburg finished third.  Aldridge led Gouverneur with first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley and was a part of a winning 200 medley relay team. Dustin Jones and Joel Kloster each won two events to guide the Beavers to the victory. Jones captured the 50 freestyle, while Kloster won the 500 freestyle. Both boys were on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.  Meet Gallery

Plattsburgh Tops Malone, AuSable in Swim Rally

Joe Tracy of Malone (near lane) and Tyler Champine of AuSable Valley battle stroke for stroke in the boys 300 meter backstroke event during Tuesday's three-team Relay Carnival held at Malone.  Plattsburgh won the meet with 24 points, while Malone and AuSable had 12 points each in a well-contested event.  Plattsburgh won the meet by doubling the scores of both Malone and AuSable that finished tied for second place. LOWVILLE RED RAIDERS SWIM PAST GOUVERNEUR 96-61

Gouverneur’s Jeff Millick and Stephen Larche both jockey for position down the stretch of the 100-yard butterfly.  The Wildcats' Cody McConnell took first place in the 50 freestyle in 28.42 seconds.  Dakota Aldridge took second place in the 200 individual medley in 2:47.85.  Gouverneur fell to 0-2 in the Frontier League North Division.
