Gouverneur’s McKenna Simmons takes her first attempt in the shot put event that was ultimately won by Tupper Lake’s Breanna Trombley.  In the team events, Canton won the 1600 and 3200-meter relays; Tupper Lake won the 800.

Malone’s Alissa McCauley takes her second attempt in the high jump event.  Massena’s Jacalyn Lamica won the event, while McCauley placed third.  Potsdam’s Maddie Dreschel captured the 55-meter dash, then took top honors in the 300 meters by just four-tenths of a second over Indian River’s MaKayla Jones. Norwood-Norfolk’s Kaycie Saucier took the 1500 and 1000. Malone’s Emily Pomainville ran the top 600 and 3000 meters. Massena’s Jessica Lamica won the 55-meter hurdles and high jump. Indian River’s Lydia Torres captured the long jump. Canton’s Morgan Rosser won the triple jump. Ogdensburg’s Alexis Foster won the shot put.

 Canton’s Morgan Rosser takes her second attempt in the high jump.  Defending Section X champion Canton finished atop the leaderboard in Meet 1 with 123 points, piling up a 48-point advantage over the rest of the field. Norwood-Norfolk’s Kim Stewart leaps up for her first attempt in the long jump.  The Golden Bears won all three relay events, while Morgan Rosser captured the triple jump. Second-place Malone’s Emily Pomainville finished first in the 1,500 and 1,000 runs. Third place Potsdam’s Maddie Dreschel won the 55-meter dash and 300 meters. Massena’s Jacalyn Lamica won both the 55 hurdles and high jump. Tupper Lake’s Tess Klossner raced to the win in the 600 meters. Norwood-Norfolk’s Kaycie Saucier captured the 3000-meter distance run. Indian River’s Lydia Torres won the long jump, while teammate Doreen Adjei won the shot put.
