Jackie Benedict dealt 16 service points, 7 aces and 2 kills to lead the Shamrocks who lost the first set 16-25, but rebounded for 25-23, 25-10, 25-21 wins in a 3-1 victory in a battle of the divisional leaders.

The shot at the net by Potsdam's Taylor Bonno (12) is blocked at the net by Salmon River.  The Shamrocks also got strong output from Nicole Smoke with 10 service points, 4 aces, 20 assists and 9 kills; Leslee Loran 9 service points, 14 kills and 6 assists; Kasennakohe David 8 service points, 2 aces and 7 kills; and Kiesha Cook 11 kills.  For Potsdam, Victoria Mondragon slammed 15 points, two kills and three assists; Kelsey Travis added seven points and an assist; and Katie Burke rapped seven points, one block and one kill.

POTSDAM BOUNCES BACK TO WIN 3-2 OVER CANTON BEARS

The Potsdam Sandstoners get a block at the net during Thursday's match at Canton.  Kelsey Travis tallied 17 points, while Bridget Parks dropped in another 16 to lift Potsdam past the Golden Bears 22-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-21, 25-14  in a 3-2 decision. CHATEAUGAY BEATS MASSENA 3-1 TO MOVE INTO 2ND IN EAST


Chateaugay’s Caitlin Miller gets up to block an attempted spike by a Massena player.  Chateaugay defeated Massena three games to one – 25-21, 25-18, 15-25, 25-22. It was Paige English who led the Bulldogs with 17 points, five kills and 12 assists.

MASSENA STRIKES FAST TO BEAT TUPPER LAKE IN 3 SETS


Massena’s Jenisa Benedict (11) blocks a attempted spike against Tupper Lake in Thursday's match. The Red Raiders swept the Lumberjacks in straight sets 25-9, 25-19 and 25-21. Dana Conger led the Raiders with 15 service points, while Melissa Truax added 12 and Tristen Thomas with 11.

O.F.A. COMEBACK FALLS SHORT AT POTSDAM IN 3-2 FINAL


Potsdam volleyballers Victoria Mondragon (5) and Kelsey Travis (22) brace for the net return against Ogdensburg. Mondragon slammed 24 points, three aces and four kills, while Travis added 10 points and a kill. Potsdam won the first two sets, but O.F.A. came back to tie before the Sandstoners won 3-2.

Bridget Parks also delivered 16 points, one assist and one kill for Potsdam that improved to 4-0 in the West Division, 6-1 overall. The Blue Devils fell to 2-1 in the division and 2-4 overall.
