Edwards-Knox Taps Fourth Win Beating B-M Panthers

Potsdam Volleyballers Sweep Edwards-Knox 3-0


Edwards-Knox’s Nicole Hendricks (3) tips the ball over the hands of Potsdam’s Bridget Parks (17).  Potsdam squeezed out a 25-22 win in the first set, then rolled to 25-13 and 25-18 wins, in sweeping host Edwards-Knox in straight sets on Tuesday.

Ogdensburg Outlasts Canton in Five Sets 3-2


Canton’s Beth Pearson (10) is on the attack, spiking the ball hard, but Ogdensburg’s Felicia Barr (9) steps up to defend. In one of Section X’s few five-set matchups this season, the Blue Devils outlasted the Golden Bears 3-2, by claiming the final two sets. Three sets were decided 25-23, including Set 5.

Ogdensburg’s Taylor Fisher (10) responds with her own effort on defense attempting to block an attack from Canton’s Kaeli Mace (18). The Blue Devils squeezed out wins in the final two sets to beat Canton 23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23. Leading Ogdensburg’s win were Felicia Barr with 20 kills and 10 service points while Brittany Barr provided 17 points and eight kills. O.F.A. improved to 7-1 in Division II, 9-5 overall. M-W Jackets Win First Match Over Gouverneur 3-1

Massena Wins Straights Sets Over Sandstoners 3-0

Chateaugay Opens With Strong 3-1 Win vs. Potsdam

Chateaugay beat Potsdam 3-1 to win their season opener. Carolyn and Desiree Stumpf combined for 26 points. Desiree slammed seven aces for the Bulldogs.

EDWARDS-KNOX SURVIVES SEESAW BATTLE VS. wILDCATS

September 24:  The Edwards-Knox Cougars survived an exciting five-set thriller, winning their first West Division contest of the season.  The Cougars won the first set 25-10.  However, Gouverneur rallied for slim 25-23 and 25-21 victories in the next two sets to take a 2-1 lead.  The Cougars recovered their early domination in capturing the fourth set 25-12 and the final set 25-13.  For the Cougars, Nichole Hendricks let the way with 15 sets, 13 tips, 17 points and six aces.  Marissa Johnson also tallied 15 points, 12 tips, 15 points and five aces.  Megan Farr also contributed 10 points and four aces.  With the Cougars win, both teams moved to 1-2, 2-4 overall.

Massena Bounces Back To Beat Tupper Lake 3-1
