The Gouverneur Wildcats finished in 7th place overall in the tournament. Due to the snowstorm that rolled in Wednesday, four teams were forced to drop from the tournament, necessitating a change in Thursday’s opening-round schedule to a Round Robin format with 2-3 pools for each weight class. Thursday’s results determined the seedings for Friday’s bracketed tournament. Gouverneur sent 10 wrestlers to the event. Three of them went undefeated on the first day. On second day, five Gouverneur wrestlers earned a berth in the semifinals with only one later advancing to the final in his weight class. Zach Ayen (132 pounds) and Hunter Ayen (195 pounds) grappled their way to third place finishes. Dillon Stowell muscled his way into the final in the 113-pound class, but came up short in falling to Lockport’s Anthony Orefice 7-1.
